Usually when I’m in need of baseball snark I head over to Keith Law’s Twitter page, but I couldn’t help but notice his colleague, Buster Olney, has been delivering some dry burns on this fine Wednesday. And to be honest, I’m not totally surprised. The trade deadline is looming, rumors are flying and Buster doesn’t seem to sleep in general. Far too many times I’m up late on the West Coast and Buster’s firing up a tweet at like 4 am ET. Dude is committed to his craft.
Anyway, Buster angered conventional baseball fans today after tweeting about Chris Archer’s then-perfect game — he responded accordingly:
Another unwritten rule, @pittzgreen?

Then turned up the sarcasm on some catty dude who’s angry about the Yankees wanting to trade for David Price:
Yes, @jammin481, we insisted the Tigers include the Yankees in any Price trade conversation, or else we wouldn't go along with it.

Bonus Burn: Buster and A’s fan argue about who’s in the loop. (Spoiler: Buster is in the loop.)
Well, @Eddie_S510, I'd advise you to check the timeline and climb back into the loop.

Now is not the time to mess with Buster, baseball fans. He’s working the #sources and frantically trying to stay on top of everything going down.
