Cubs Beat Pirates After Gregory Polanco’s Outfield Flub

After rallying from big time deficits in the 6th and 8th innings, the Pittsburgh Pirates finally caught the Cubs at 10-10 to force free baseball. Unfortunately for them, all that grit and hard work ended up leading to one of the most painful losses imaginable.
With Cubs outfielder Matt Szczur up to bat with the bases loaded and one out in the 12th, reliever Radhames Liz induced a weak pop fly to right fielder Gregory Polanco. This surely would set up a potential play at the plate, right? NOPE! Polanco somehow lost his footing and slipped:
