Never heard of Ogie Menor? Join the crowd. The guy plays in the Philippine Basketball Association and decided to gain U.S. Internet fame this week via a lizard haircut that’s the perfect way to get the attention of Americans.
Ogie, a 6-2 shooting guard for the Blackwater Elite, calls his hair a “butiki” (translation: lizard) look.
According to Spin.ph:
The 28-year-old Roxas, Isabela native said his latest hairstyle statement, a follow-up to his mohawk hair last season with Air21, was a product of his favorite barber’s creativity.
He usually goes to True Cuts, a barber shop along Timog Ave., Quezon City to have it trimmed and styled up by his favorite barber named Erdie.
So all credit for this piece of art goes to Erdie. This barber is about to be hired by 20 different NBA players who will want logos cut into their heads. Erdie will be shaving Nike logos into LeBron’s bald head by the all-star break.
As for Ogie’s first game with the lizard, he went 0 for 4 from the field in Tuesday’s loss to Purefoods SH.
