So I hear the mainstream Twitter media is pissed at Tony Dungy for saying he wouldn’t have taken Michael Sam because he would be an off-field distraction. “Not because I don’t believe Michael Sam should have a chance to play, but I wouldn’t want to deal with all of it. “It’s not going to be totally smooth … things will happen.’’
And…he was attacked for having an opinion.
Yes, I know Dungy was Michael Vick’s post-jail mentor. Yes, I know Dungy is a big Bible thumper who, of course, isn’t going to have a popular opinion of the first openly gay player in NFL history.
These media assholes need a guy to have an unpopular opinion so they can write columns about that unpopular opinions (where they rip the opinion), but yet they don’t want a guy like Dungy voicing an unpopular opinion. I’m confused. Those unpopular opinions pay your mortgage, media assholes.
From @ESPNStatsInfo:
Tigers P Justin Verlander is now 24-2 in interleague play, has won 13 straight interleague decisions
Maybe that Mexico vacation is exactly what he needed.
