Russ Wilson’s brief Steelers stint ended with more of a whimper than a bang. The veteran QB managed a decent 6-5 record in his 11 games, helping Pittsburgh sneak into the playoffs before Baltimore sent them packing with a 28-14 wild card defeat. Now that Wilson has packed his bags for New York, joining the Giants this offseason, the Steelers are clearing the decks – and their merchandise shelves – for what’s next.
That’s great news if you’re looking to score some serious jersey bargains.
Mark Kaboly, who covers the Steelers beat, spotted something incredible at Dick’s Sporting Goods – Wilson’s Pittsburgh jerseys are practically being given away. Men’s jerseys can be yours for just $18.97, women’s are going for $14.23, and youth sizes are an absolute steal at $10.48.

Russell Wilson Steelers jerseys are available at hilariously cheap prices
At this rate, they might just start handing them out for free if they’re still on the shelves by the time the season kicks off.
Finding an NFL jersey – even a replica – for just ten bucks is practically unheard of these days. Everything costs more now, from tickets to stadium beer to the gear we wear. This clearance sale tells you everything about how quickly NFL teams (and their retail partners) move on from players. The Steelers have already hitched their wagon to Aaron Rodgers for 2023, and Mike Tomlin’s squad needs shelf space for what’s current – not what’s past.
How much lower could these Wilson jerseys go? It’s tough to imagine many Steelers fans wanting this memorabilia now that he’s wearing Giants blue. Maybe we’ll see a buy-one-get-three-free deal next month. Or perhaps they’ll slash prices even further just to clear inventory.
The ultimate irony would be Wilson himself buying up the remaining stock to donate, only to find no takers.
That would truly cap off what was essentially a footnote in both Wilson’s career and Steelers history – a brief partnership that neither side will likely remember fondly. For fans, though, it’s a rare chance to grab official NFL gear at prices we haven’t seen in decades.
