Back in December, everyone was talking about the Philadelphia Eagles and their passing game troubles. People were wondering if AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts, two of the team’s stars, were having problems with each other. Even some of their teammates thought something might be wrong.
Just a few weeks later, things seemed to have changed as the Eagles found success and won the NFC East title.
During a recent game against the Green Bay Packers, the Eagles had an easy time. They dominated from the start, with the Packers fumbling right away and falling behind quickly. The Eagles didn’t need to push their offense much, so Jalen Hurts had a quiet game, throwing for only 131 yards. AJ Brown wasn’t very involved either, catching just one pass for 10 yards.
But here’s where it gets interesting! Cameras caught AJ Brown reading a book on the sidelines during the game. Yep, you read that right—a book! He was seen with “Inner Excellence” by Jim Murphy, which is all about becoming mentally strong and confident.

The book’s description talks about helping athletes become world champions and transforming their hearts and minds. Sounds like something an athlete would be into, right? Maybe AJ Brown was just trying to get some tips on leadership or mental toughness.
Who knows if this will help him connect better with his quarterback, but it’s certainly an interesting move. We’ll have to wait and see if this unique approach leads to any changes on the field.
