Rams Taunt Seahawks with QB Decision After Division Win

The Seattle Seahawks won’t be in the playoffs, but the Los Angeles Rams will. Even though they have one more game to play against each other, the Rams have already won their division. They’re kind of showing off about it to the Seahawks.

The Rams decided to rest their main quarterback, Matthew Stafford, for the last game of the season. Instead, they’re giving Jimmy Garoppolo a chance to play. This will be Garoppolo’s first regular-season game with the Rams.

The Rams even shared a cheeky image online, hinting at their confidence in Garoppolo stepping up while Stafford takes a breather. Garoppolo seemed pretty pumped about it, saying, “It’s about time, just get out there with the guys and get some real football in.” It’s a big moment for him since he hasn’t started since his time with Las Vegas last year.

This season has been a wild ride for both teams. The Rams had a rocky start, winning only once in their first five games. But then they turned things around with key players like Cooper Kupp and Puca Nakua coming back, winning nine of their next eleven games.

On the flip side, the Seahawks kicked off strong with three straight wins. However, they hit a rough patch, losing five of their next six games. They bounced back with four wins after their bye week but stumbled again with losses to the Packers and Vikings, which knocked them out of the division race.

Although the Rams are set for the playoffs, the outcome of their game against the Seahawks still matters. It could determine if they enter as the No. 3 or No. 4 seed.

Right now, they’re sitting at No. 3 and would face off against the Washington Commanders in the Wild Card round. If they slip to No. 4, they’ll host either the Detroit Lions or Minnesota Vikings. Either way, they seem comfortable with letting Garoppolo lead them into this matchup.
