Patrick Mahomes, the star quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, had fans worried last week. During a game against the Cleveland Browns, he hurt his ankle and everyone thought it might be serious. Luckily, it turned out to be a mild sprain, so not too bad.
Still, people wondered if he’d play in the next game. Surprisingly, Mahomes was cleared to play early in the week and showed no signs of injury.
In their match against the Houston Texans, Mahomes proved why he’s a key player. Early in the game, he saw an opening and ran for a touchdown, even taking a hit as he scored. His ankle seemed just fine, showing no signs of trouble.

That’s probably why you want Mahomes in the game instead of Carson Wentz.
Mahomes did have a moment where he got hit low and stayed down briefly. But he quickly bounced back and kept playing strong, scoring soon after.
Another big news for the Chiefs was the return of wide receiver Hollywood Brown. He made his first appearance since signing with the team and played a crucial role in one of their scoring drives.
Facing a challenging fourth-and-1 situation, Mahomes connected with Brown for a 12-yard gain. This play helped keep the drive alive and showed Brown’s speed and skill.
The Chiefs are hopeful for a Super Bowl run and Mahomes’ health is vital for that journey. With Brown back in action, their offense could become even more powerful, which is a scary thought for opponents.
