Vikings Injury Concerns for Titans Matchup

The Minnesota Vikings have already won against the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, and Jacksonville Jaguars. Now, they’re getting ready to play the Tennessee Titans this Sunday. It’s like a big adventure for them, trying to win against all the teams in the AFC South.

The good news is that the Vikings seem pretty healthy right now!

Earlier in the week, there was some worry because quarterback Sam Darnold and left tackle Cam Robinson had limited practice due to injuries. But by Thursday, both were practicing fully, which is a relief for the team. Injuries can be tricky, though, and linebacker Blake Cashman knows this well. He’s been dealing with a lot of injuries throughout his career. Just last week, he returned from a turf toe injury and played impressively against the Jaguars, even leading in tackles.

Seeing Cashman’s name on the injury report wasn’t surprising, but this time it was due to an elbow issue. He participated fully in Wednesday’s walkthrough, which is hopeful news.

By Thursday, Cashman was back to full practice, suggesting he’s likely ready for Sunday’s game against the Titans. However, three players—Aaron Jones, Andrew Van Ginkel, and Josh Oliver—were still listed as limited participants. Each of these players has their own set of challenges but is expected to play.

Last weekend, Aaron Jones gave Vikings fans a scare when he got hit hard during the game against Jacksonville. After being checked in the medical tent, he was carted off but later returned to finish the game strong with over 100 total yards. Coach O’Connell feels confident about Jones playing this Sunday, hinting that his limited practice is just precautionary.

Jones is having a great season so far, ranking 10th in total yards among all NFL players. On the other hand, Van Ginkel picked up a hip injury despite performing well against the Jags. His status remains uncertain until Friday’s practice updates.

Tight end Josh Oliver is also managing injuries but hopes to stay off the official injury list. With T.J. Hockenson back, Oliver’s role might not be as crucial, but having him on the field would still be beneficial.

Injuries are part of the game, but the Vikings are doing their best to keep everyone ready and healthy for their upcoming battle against the Titans.
