Brandon Aiyuk is a football player who wants to be happy playing the game. He was picked by the San Francisco 49ers and now he wants a big contract because he’s really good at catching passes.
He didn’t show up to practice on Friday, which made everyone worried.
Grant Cohn from 49ers On SI noticed Aiyuk’s absence and mentioned it could be due to many reasons, but it has caused quite a stir. Fans of teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Commanders are hoping he gets traded to their team. “It’s utterly maddening,” some fans say.
Honestly, getting new contracts for top 49ers players has always been tricky with general manager John Lynch. This situation isn’t new, and it probably won’t be the last time we see this kind of drama. We need a solution soon because everyone wants this issue resolved quickly.
Aiyuk definitely makes the 49ers better, and they need to win a Super Bowl soon. As one fan put it, “Aiyuk makes us stronger.”
If the 49ers don’t see him in their future plans, they should trade him already.

There’s not much more to add about Aiyuk being a great receiver, but he’s not on the same level as stars like Justin Jefferson or Ja’Marr Chase. While he could help teams like the Commanders or Steelers if traded, staying with the 49ers might be best for him.
The 49ers have higher potential this season compared to other teams. The Steelers are playoff contenders in a tough AFC, while Washington is still rebuilding after having a high draft pick last year. Plus, Pittsburgh’s game plan focuses heavily on running the ball.
We’re really close to needing an answer about Aiyuk’s future with San Francisco. Is he staying or going? Both sides have their faults here, but winning a Super Bowl should be everyone’s priority. However, Kyle Shanahan’s track record in crucial moments isn’t reassuring.
I hope we get an update on Aiyuk this weekend because right now, it’s anyone’s guess…
