Russell Wilson’s Steelers Camp Woes Highlight Broncos’ Advantage with Bo Nix

The Denver Broncos are excited about their new quarterback, Bo Nix. They picked him in the NFL Draft, and it looks like he might start playing soon.

Bo Nix could take over from Jarrett Stidham by the end of training camp.

Russell Wilson, last year’s starter for the Broncos, is now with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He started strong during OTAs but has faced some challenges. A minor calf injury has given Justin Fields a chance to shine, and he’s been making the most of it.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano even mentioned that Fields might outplay Wilson. If that happens, Wilson could be released before the season starts. “If he doesn’t stick with the Steelers, he might be cooked,” Graziano noted.

The Broncos still have to pay Wilson because of his previous contract. But there’s hope that either Fields or Wilson will fit well into Arthur Smith’s offense since both can run effectively.

Overall, Graziano’s prediction about the Steelers’ quarterbacks seems likely to come true. Fields is younger and on an upward trajectory compared to Wilson, who had his prime years ago.

Denver might surprise us with a few more wins than expected this season. They probably won’t be great and may finish last in the AFC West. Yet, fans will feel optimistic about having Nix over Wilson for the future.

A clear message from the franchise boosts fan confidence.
