Japanese kickboxer Takeru Segawa, the only three-weight champion in K-1 history, stepped into the ring in Tokyo over the weekend in the main event of ONE 165.
It was Takeru’s ONE Championship debut, and he faced a tough test with Thailand’s Superlek Kiatmuu9 across the ring. The bout was for the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Championship.
Superlek was able to chop Takeru down with leg kicks throughout the bout en route to a unanimous decision victory. It was Superlek’s 11th win in a row, while Takeru suffered defeat for the second time in three outings.
After the bout, Takeru took to social media to show off the damage he sustained throughout the bout, saying he suffered a torn thigh and “can’t walk.”

Ouch.
Superlek’s barrage of low kicks and aggressive attack from the opening bell allowed him to control the bout and defend his title again.
Superlek advanced to 137-29-4 with the win, while Takeru fell to 43-4.
