Boxer Arrested For Allegedly Slamming Car Dealership Employee, Stealing Truck

Boxer Jarrell Miller is in trouble with the law just days after his biggest payday for a fight against Daniel Dubois on the Anthony Joshua undercard in Saudi Arabia.

According to reports, Miller was arrested in Hollywood, Florida after he allegedly body-slammed a car dealership employee and stole a truck.

The car dealership employee at Haims Motors says they were approached by a woman who claimed she left her phone in a vehicle that was recently repossessed. When the employee went to retrieve the keys, Miller allegedly grabbed the employee from behind and put them in a chokehold. That’s when he demanded the keys, slammed the employee to the ground, and took off in the truck.

Miller, however, did not know the truck was equipped with a tracking system and was eventually found and arrested on charges of carjacking without a firearm or weapon and burglary with assault or battery.

The 35-year-old heavyweight is being held on a $30,000 bond in Fort Lauderdale as of Thursday morning.

During his court appearance, prosecutors say they believe the attack was planned.

“It would appear that Mr. Miller,” an official said. “He knew what the plan was going to this business to get his car back.”Miller’s fight just 12 days ago in Saudi Arabia was his first fight since returning from a two-year ban by Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) for failing multiple drug tests.

Miller suffered the first loss of his career due to a 12th-round TKO, falling to 26-1-1.
