The women’s college basketball season is officially underway and we now have a look at how the experts think the competition stacks up with one week of the season in the books.
As we prepare for Week 4 of the 2023-24 season, the Associated Press announced its latest AP Top 25 poll.
The South Carolina Gamecocks continue to be the unanimous No. 1 team in the country, followed by UCLA, Stanford, Iowa, and North Carolina State to round out the top five.
USC, meanwhile, continues to rise in the poll and now sits at No. 6 — its highest ranking in the AP women’s poll in 29 years.
The defending national champion LSU Tigers crashed out of the top five to No. 7.
