The women’s college basketball season is officially underway and we now have a look at how the experts think the competition stacks up with one week of the season in the books.
As we prepare for Week 2 of the 2023-24 season, the Associated Press announced the latest AP Top 25 poll.
After a wild opening week, Dawn Staley’s South Carolina squad proved it simply reloaded its roster with talent and returned to the No. 1 ranking in the country. South Carolina is followed by Caitlyn Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes and UCLA Bruins, while Utah and Colorado, which stunned preseason No. 1 LSU, round out the top five.
The defending national champion LSU Tigers crashed out of the top five to No. 7.
