Ciryl Gane’s Home Burglarized During UFC Paris; $160k In Jewelry Stolen

Former UFC interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane scored a big win over Sergey Spivak in the main event of UFC Paris on Saturday afternoon by way of a second-round TKO.

Unfortunately, he took a loss at home.

When Gane returned to his apartment just 15 minutes outside of Paris, he learned that he had been the victim of a burglary while he was away. Those responsible for the burglary forced their way into the apartment through the front door.

According to French outlet Le Parisian, Gane was robbed of a Rolex watch and other jewelry valued north of $160,000.

No arrests have been made.

Gane (12-2) began his combat sports career in 2016, earning the AFMT Muay Thai heavyweight title. After racking up 13 wins with 9 knockouts in Muay Thai, Gane turned his attention to mixed martial arts in 2018.

The Nogent-sur-Marne native began his MMA career with a perfect 10-0 record and earned the interim UFC heavyweight championship over Derrick Lewis by TKO. He would suffer his first loss to UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

Prior to his win over Spivak, Gane lost to current champion Jon Jones in a bout for the vacant heavyweight title. But now, he finds himself right back in the mix for the belt.
