Conor McGregor has been the biggest name in the fight game for the last decade. The Irish-born fighter earned his stripes inside the octagon. Becoming a champion in two separate weight divisions. However, McGregor’s ability to sell a fight on the mic is what keeps everyone coming back for more. Including fights that he isn’t even a part of. Which is why when the ‘Notorious’ one decided to voice his opinion on Jake Paul’s boxing victory over Nate Diaz, the world took notice.

McGregor quickly took to X or Twitter, or whatever the hell you want to call it. In his tweet(?), the former UFC champion was salivating at the opportunity to challenge Diaz once again. In the message, McGregor described Diaz’s performance on Saturday as embarrassing and that he “will sever up your liver sandwich in the trilogy m8,” in reference to Diaz. However, Conor didn’t want Paul to think he had forgotten about him.
In the same tweet, McGregor called Paul garbage. As well as other names that we won’t go into detail about. However, Paul isn’t worried about what the MMA superstar has to say about him. After the bout on Saturday, Paul was asked about the comments made by McGregor. “I don’t care about the guy… He needs to go to rehab. I want Nate in MMA,” explained Paul. Paul sounded steadfast in meeting Diaz inside the cage for his next bout. However, the move doesn’t seem to be a logical one for Paul’s fight career.

As McGregor’s future in the octagon and boxing ring seems uncertain, his options for his next opponent aren’t slim. With many options in front of him, McGregor has been out of action since 2021 after a brutal leg injury abruptly stopped his bout with Dustin Poirier. Would the world be ready for the buildup of a Paul-McGregor matchup? No matter if they aren’t, something tells me a lot of eyes would be on that box office attraction. Also, maybe Diaz has a say in the future of both men. It looks like some unfinished business is the headline between the three.
