Conor McGregor quickly left the funeral of a family member in the UK on Tuesday night.
Video obtained by TMZ Sports shows the UFC star leaving the club where a gathering was taking place flanked by two security guards. Once McGregor and security were in a black SUV, it sped away from the scene.
McGregor reportedly left the funeral after an “incident” and police are investigating the matter.
Club officials told TMZ Sports that McGregor “was upset by the actions of certain people attending the funeral” and left. The added, “Mr. McGregor’s security detail decided it necessary to leave to avoid unnecessary speculation and attention.”
Police said that they were called to the venue shortly before 8:00 p.m. following “reports of an altercation,” but no details have been released and McGregor has not publicly commented on the matter.
“Officers attended the pub and spoke to a number of people,” cops said in a statement. “Further inquiries are being carried out to establish what has taken place but at this stage, no complaints have been made and nobody has been arrested.”
The former two-division champ has a history of negative headlines following him in recent years, but there are still plenty of questions about the latest incident.
