Dan Hooker and Jalin Turner threw down on the UFC 290 pay-per-view main card and delivered one of the most electric fights of the night. There was no shortage of action, but the fight took a stunning turn.
Turner was delivering a beatdown and appeared to be on his way to victory, but Hooker was able to dig deep and rallied for a furious comeback victory.
However, it came at a cost.
Hooker appeared to injure himself during the bout, and Joe Rogan asked him whether he injured his arm during the post-fight interview. Hooker joked, “It’s just a scratch. We’ll have to see.”
As it turns out, Hooker suffered a clean break near his right wrist. The 33-year-old New Zealander shared his x-ray on social media.

Ouch.
The fact that Hooker managed to dig deep and mount the stunning comeback with a badly broken arm makes it even that much more impressive.
With the win, Hooker advanced to 23-12 in his professional mixed martial arts career. The win also positions Hooker near the top of the lightweight division once again and he will be looking to earn a title shot once he is fully healed and able to return to action.
What a warrior.
