The 2023 ESPYs are set to take place on Wednesday, July 12 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.

The nominees for the awards were announced earlier this month for the likes of Best Athlete, Men’s and Best Athlete Women’s, while the women’s college basketball championship game will be renewed with Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark up for Best Breakthrough Athlete.

Today, ESPN announced the nominees for the three pillar awards at the ESPYs — the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage, the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance, and the Pat Tillman Award for Service.

Recipients include the Buffalo Bills training staff and the United States women’s national soccer team.

“The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team (USWNT) will be honored with the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage for their resilient fight for equal pay off the field,” the press release said. “The award is given to a deserving member or group in the sporting world who makes a difference far beyond the field of play, impacting the world in indelible ways. The USWNT players are longtime advocates of equality, and in March 2019, they began a legal battle with U.S. Soccer for equal pay with the U.S Men’s National Soccer Team.”

The Bills training staff will be recognized with the Pat Tillman Award for Service after performing life-saving, on-field attention to Bills safety Damar Hamlin, while Chicago White Sox pitcher Liam Hendricks will receive the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance after making a comeback from non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
