LSU basketball star Flau’jae Johnson created a stir on social media this week after posting a remix to Latto’s hit song “Put It On Da Floor.”
The rapper and hooper dropped a 9/11 reference in the lyrics, saying “In this 911 blowing smoke just like them towers.” The line is a play on words for the Porsche 911 and terrorist attack.
It’s safe to say the line didn’t sit well with a number of people and LSU issued an apology for the now-deleted video.
"In this 911 blowing smoke just like those towers." – Flau’jae Johnson.
Take a bow @LSUwbkb. A player on your team mocked those who died on 9/11 by comparing it to a Porsche.
Disgusting. I know people who still struggle to sleep at night because of what they did in war after… pic.twitter.com/AFmw2zK6mf

Johnson, who is the daughter of late-rapper Camoflauge and is signed to Roc Nation, has not commented on the lyrics publicly.
