LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY, USA - APRIL 3 2016: Entrance to Churchill Downs featuring a statue of 2006 Kentucky Derby Champion Barbaro.

The 2023 Kentucky Derby is set to take place on Saturday, May 6, at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. It marks the 149th running of the “Run for the Roses.”

Another Pletcher-trained horse, Blue Grass winner Tapit Trice, has the second-best odds at 5-to-1.
