Happy Sunday, ladies and gentlemen. How fun was the Final Four? In the nightcap, the UConn Huskies proved why they are the favorite to bring home the national championship, but it was the day’s early game that really stole the show. San Diego State and Florida Atlantic had a hard-fought, back-and-forth game through the 40 minutes and it all came down to the final shot. That’s when San Diego State’s Lamont Butler cemented his place in March Madness lore by rising above the FAU defense and drilling the game-winner as the buzzer sounded to punch the Aztecs’ ticket to the final game of the tournament. It’s what March is all about. Today, we have more basketball with a busy 13-game slate in the NBA and the NCAA women’s championship game between Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes and Angel Reese and the LSU Tigers. It should be a fun matchup between two of the top teams in the country all season long and their star-studded rosters. If you’re not a fan of basketball, there is the final round of the Valero Texas Open, the Miami Open final, and plenty of MLB and NHL to go around. With so much ahead, let’s jump right into it and check out some headlines from around the web that we may have missed.
