The Cavinder Twins are firing back at the NCAA.
Just days after the NCAA handed down its first NIL violations and sanctioned the University of Miami women’s basketball program, Haley and Hanna Cavinder took to social media to mock the punishment that was handed down.
The recruiting violations stemmed from a photo that was posted by booster John Ruiz on Twitter that showed the twins at his home for a chef-prepared dinner. The get-together was “impermissible contact” with a booster and classified as a recruiting “inducement.”
In the Cavinder Twins’ response, they captioned the video on social media, “Dear ncaa, scared that female athletes have value? let’s hoop tho.. #GoCanes,” while lip-synching to Chris Brown’s 2011 hit song, “Look at Me Now.” They also used the hashtag “BFFR” which stands for “Be for f*cking real.”

The sanctions handed down to the program included a three-game suspension for head coach Kate Meier, who reportedly arranged the meeting, multiple fines, and a year of probation.
It doesn’t seem to be bothering the Cavinder Twins too much, however.
