Three Florida Gators basketball fans need to learn to keep their hands to themselves.
During Wednesday night’s game against the Kentucky Wildcats at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center, three fans were ejected when they grabbed a hold of Kentucky’s standout freshman Cason Wallace after he ran into the crowd chasing a loose ball.
The fans held onto Wallace to prevent him from running back onto the court, with one fan wrapping his arm around Wallace’s neck before the guard broke free.

Unacceptable.

The fans were ejected shortly after the incident.
After they were escorted out of the arena, Kentucky went on to beat the Gators, 82-74. Four Kentucky starters tallied double-digit points, while Wallace recorded 8 points, 6 assists, and 2 rebounds.
The Wildcats now sit at 19-9 on the season. Up next for Kentucky is a two-game home stretch which includes a Saturday, February 25 meeting with Auburn and a Wednesday, March 1 showdown with Vanderbilt. Florida, meanwhile, fell to 14-14 on the season and is in serious danger of missing out on the 2023 NCAA Tournament.
