A Congolese women’s soccer team took things to the extreme when players disagreed with a call.
In a wild video that surfaced on social media, players from the club DC Motema Pembe were upset when a referee did not award a penalty kick in a game they were losing 5-1. Instead of moving on, players took things into their own hands.
That’s when the players chased the ref down the sideline. After the referee was cornered and backed into a fixture on the sideline, the players began attacking him with some wild kicks and punches.
And it was all caught on camera.

We’ve seen athletes lose control before, but an entire team losing their minds and attacking a referee is on another level.
Something tells me that DC Motema Pembe won’t be able to field a team after suspensions are handed out. And, quite honestly, they should never be able to field a team again.
