When you’re on the world stage, you have to make the most of your opportunities and that is exactly what Stefanos Tsitsipas did on Tuesday in Melbourne.

The Greek tennis star wrapped up a dominant straight-set victory over Jiri Lehecka at Rod Laver Arena to punch his ticket to the semifinal at the 2023 Australian Open. That’s when he decided to shoot his shot with Australia’s own Margot Robbie.

“I mean, Australia’s such a great country. I like a lot of Aussie things, you know, one of my favorite actresses comes from Australia, Margot Robbie,” the 24-year-old Tsitsipas said. “It would be nice to see her over there one day.”

And he didn’t stop there. Tsitsipas went on to tell commentator Jim Courier that he was “absolutely” extending an invitation to Robbie to watch him play. Unfortunately for Tsitsipas, Robbie has been married to Tom Ackerley since 2016, but you have to respect the effort.

Tsitsipas will return to action on Thursday, January 26, where he will face off against No. 18 seed Karen Khachanov of Russia with a spot in the first Grand Slam final of the season on the line.
