Boxing Star Gervonta Davis Arrested, Jailed On Domestic Violence Charge

Gervonta Davis is in trouble with the law once again.

The boxing star was arrested on Tuesday in Parkland, Florida, and jailed on a domestic violence charge of battery causing bodily harm. No bond has been set and Davis remains in custody leading up to his court hearing on Wednesday morning, according to reports.

Details of his arrest and the allegations have not been reported at this time.

The arrest comes just 11 days before the 28-year-old Davis is scheduled to face Hector Luis Garcia in Washington, DC. The bout on January 7 is currently scheduled to headline a PBC on Showtime pay-per-view.

Davis (27-0) was previously facing two misdemeanor battery charges in February 2020 after he was caught on video being physical with his ex-girlfriend at a celebrity basketball game in Florida. Davis is also set to appear in Baltimore Circuit Court on February 16 for his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run incident that occurred in November 2020.
