Things got heated in the stands at the World Cup on Saturday during the highly-anticipated clash between Argentina and Mexico.
During the Group C showdown, fans were recorded throwing punches and flying through the stands as tempers boiled over. Argentina would win the game, 2-0, to keep their World Cup hopes alive while Mexico’s chances of advancing past the group stage were put on life support as they sit at the bottom of the group with 1 point.

While Argentina earned the crucial three points, it will still need to beat group leader Poland on Tuesday to advance to the knockout stage of the tournament. Mexico, meanwhile, will need a win over Saudi Arabia in El Tri’s group stage finale along with some help. If Poland beats Argentina and Mexico wins, Poland and Mexico will advance. If Argentina continues to roll, Mexico will need to hope for a dominant win in order to make up the goal differential.
