Saudi Arabia recorded one of the biggest upsets in World Cup history with a 2-1 win over Lionel Messi and World No. 3 Argentina on Tuesday morning, but there was one scary moment near the end of the game.
While Saudi Arabia was waiting for the final whistle, goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais accidentally kneed teammate Yasser Al-Shahrani in the face and knocked him out cold. The defender was tended to by the medical team and stretchered off the field. The good news, however, was that the 30-year-old AL-Shahrani was alert and gave thumbs up to the crowd.

The moment came at the 95-minute mark of the match and added extra stoppage time that left Saudi fans holding their breath. Ultimately, Saudi Arabia was able to hang on to the lead and secure three points and the Group C lead. Next up will be a meeting with Poland.
We wish Al-Shahrani a full and speedy recovery.
