Lena Silano is officially a hero for the Long Beach State soccer program.
Over the weekend, Long Beach State was taking on San Diego when they found themselves trailing in the closing minutes of the game.
That’s when Long Beach State’s Elysia Laramie found Silano lurking in the box to deliver a miraculous play in the 88th minute.
Laramie nailed a cross to Silano, who perfectly turned her body to hit a goal kick that went soaring past the goalkeeper and into the net.

The game ended in a 2-2 draw, but this is a goal Long Beach State will remember a long time.
