Ric Flair could reportedly be making a return to the wrestling ring.
According to wrestling insider Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, the 73-year-old Flair is preparing for a comeback. Flair, who parted ways with WWE in 2021, last wrestled in 2011 in an Impact Wrestling match against Sting..
“Ric Flair is training to wrestle again,” Meltzer says. “The stories about his return are accurate.”
Flair has been posting videos of his training sessions with Jay Lethal which led people to begin speculating that he was ending his retirement to return to the ring as a performer. And now, that appears to be confirmed.
As for what we can expect from Flair in the ring, the rumor involves a six-man tag team match with Flair and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) going up against the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express and another competitor. Ricky Morton announced earlier this year that the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express will begin their farewell tour in 2022.
Only time will tell if the reports are true, but it certainly appears that the momentum is building and the return of the WOOOOO is closer than we would have ever expected.
