There has been plenty of speculation about whether Tiger Woods will be hitting the course at Augusta for The Masters, and now he is providing an update on his availability.
In a brief statement on social media, Woods announced that he will be a “game-time decision” for this week’s tournament.
Last week, the 15-time major champion arrived at Augusta National and played a practice round to see how his body would hold up. He will continue to monitor his health to determine whether he can compete.
“I will be heading up to Augusta today to continue my preparation and practice. It will be a game-time decision on whether I compete,” Woods announced.

Woods was spotted last weekend practicing at The Medalist golf club as he gets his reps up. This week, Woods scouted Augusta National and “further evaluate his body and game on tournament grounds.”
Woods played alongside his son Charlie at the PNC Championship in December 2021, but Woods was able to use a golf cart.
The 2022 Masters Tournament is set to begin on Thursday, April 7, and will run through Sunday, April 10. Whether Woods is able to play remains to be seen, but his availability would certainly lead to blockbuster ratings.
