The Chattanooga Mocs and Furman Paladins went back and forth in an incredible SoCon Championship Game that ended with the Mocs earning a 64-63 win thanks to an insane overtime buzzer-beater.
As we have grown to know over the years, buzzer-beaters in March give us some amazing home radio calls and the Chattanooga radio team delivered.
Furman’s Mike Bothwell had put the Paladins up by two points with 4.3 seconds left. Then, the magical moment happened.
David Jean-Baptiste lifted the Mocs to victory with his deep, contested three-pointer that resulted in a beautiful mix of joy and heartbreak.
Here is how the call went down.

Predictably, the Furman call was just gut-wrenching.

This is March.
With the win, Chattanooga is heading to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016.
