The Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley 2 pay-per-view was a flop.
According to Steven Muehlhausen of DAZN, the numbers on Showtime “bombed” with less than 65,000 pay-per-view buys. The numbers figure satellite and cable buys.
“Have learned that Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley 2 ‘bombed’ on cable/satellite PPV. Numbers are below November’s #AEW Full Gear which did under 65,000 buys on terrestrial TV,” he wrote on Twitter.
Of course, there is one key thing that is missing: streaming numbers.
Because of Jake Paul’s audience and having a large following from his days as a YouTuber, there is a good chance that the streaming number will be impressive and could boost the overall success of the pay-per-view, but the traditional numbers are a flop.
After the reports surfaced, UFC star Jorge Masvidal, who Paul has called out, mocked the YouTuber turned boxer for the failed PPV.
Bitch boy can’t afford the big boys Never again do I want to hear my name associated with the fake. 3 0 5 day is coming #supernecessary pic.twitter.com/XloN8Kex88

Paul is still the one laughing, however.
After his vicious knockout win over Woodley, “The Problem Child” advanced to 5-0 in his professional boxing career with four wins coming by way of knockout.
