The Ultimate Fighting Championship capped off its 2021 pay-per-view schedule on Saturday night with UFC 269 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The promotion ended with a bang thanks to an emphatic finish from lightweight champion Charles Oliveira to retain his title. In the co-main event, Julianna Pena shocked the MMA world when she choked out two-division champ Amanda Nunes to claim the women’s bantamweight title.
Following Saturday’s event, the Nevada State Athletic Commission handed out the medical suspensions for UFC 269 with Sean O’Malley and three other fighters potentially out for six months.
O’Malley must have an x-ray and MRI of his right hand/base of thumb; if positive he must be cleared by an orthopedic doctor before he is able to return.
