Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose! For some coaches, that saying is a way of life. Arkansas Pine Bluff’s head basketball coach took that famous quote from Friday Night Lights coach Eric Taylor to heart. The Golden Lions head coach was unimpressed by his team’s start in their game against Iowa State and called a quick timeout.
During the timeout, spectators witnessed a first.
The Golden Lions were told to run sprints for their poor performance.
I’ve never seen this before. Arkansas Pine Bluff’s head coach called a timeout last night just for his players to run baseline to baseline. You might see that in AAU, but not college basketball.pic.twitter.com/B3sy2lhtio

Pine Bluff head coach Solomon Bozeman has seemingly watched Coach Carter, Remember The Titans, and Friday Night Lights on loop to prepare his team for this season.
The Golden Lions players hit the baseline and ran sprints for their poor performance against a bigger program. The Golden Lions have just one win on the season, and coach Bozeman had apparently seen enough from his players at that moment.

In no surprise, Iowa State took home the lopsided victory 83-64, but the game’s outcome is not what is on everyone’s minds. This night, the only thing that will be taken is that coach Bozeman became a true basketball legend with his punishment for his team.
Maybe the Coach K’s and John Calipari’s of the world should take notes.
