The 2021 Ryder Cup is set to get underway on Friday and team captains Padraig Harrington and Steve Stricker set the stage for the Friday morning foursomes by announcing the pairings for the first day.
Team USA will be rolling out the pairing of Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth for the first tee time of the day at 8:05 a.m. ET, while Europe is going with a Spanish pairing of world No. 1 Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia, who is the all-time Ryder Cup points leader.
Capping off a busy day will be Europe’s pairing of Rory McIlroy and Ian Poulter, while Patrick Cantlay pairs with Xander Schauffele for the United States.
The other USA pairings are Dusint Johnson and Collin Morikawa, and Brooks Koepka and Daniel Berger. Europe, meanwhile, has Paul Casey and Viktor Hovland, and Matt Fitzpatrick and Lee Westwood. The Fitzpatrick-Westwood pairing is the largest underdog of the day.
