Could Cornhole Actually Become The Next Great Olympic Sport?

Have you ever been at a cookout and thought, “Man, it would be awesome if cornhole was an Olympic sport.” Well, your dreams could soon become a reality.

The American Cornhole League (ACL) is currently pursuing investment opportunities to make this Olympic dream come true.

The (ACL) has received its first outside investments in growing the league. Well-known college basketball coach John Thompson III and real estate investor James Simmions III having invested in a league they see promise in.

ACL commissioner and founder of the league Stacey Moore, had this to say about the growth of the ACL:

We’re looking forward to adding on partners that they can bring to the table and then business expansion in general. We like to say that we’re the only sport that can be played at another professional or college sporting event. The portability of our game is unique. And, obviously, we want to make cornhole an Olympic sport.

Cornhole is a sport that can be played by anybody. A sport that can give anyone the chance to be great if they put enough practice into it. The ACL provides cornhole more eyes on the game with the help of striking multiple television deals, with players playing for big prizes.

I’m not sure the Olympics will allow competitors to hold a cold one while sinking bags in the board, but if they do, this game will proudly represent the American way.
