NASCAR continues to make big changes with its organization, starting at the beginning of next season. The annual exhibition Clash race will move from its home at Daytona International Speedway to the west coast.
The L.A. Coliseum will host the exhibition Clash for the first time. Ending an era in which the Clash was held at Daytona since 1979.

The Clash is the first time NASCAR fans see their favorite drivers on the track in a competitive race to start each season. The Clash will look a lot different next season as the track will not be a 2 and a half-mile track that fans are accustomed to. The track inside the L.A. Coliseum will only be a quarter-mile.
History meets possibility.

The Clash will take place on February 6th, 2022, two weeks before the NASCAR season kicks off its regular season in Daytona. The move to L.A. has drawn mixed emotions from NASCAR fans. Many believe the Clash at Daytona makes sense because the logistics of being so close to the Daytona 500 would be easier on race teams and the drivers.
Others welcome the change and see this as a great opportunity for the company.
NASCAR doing different over the years has ruined interest in the sport. Tradition and history is what we loved about it! Bring back Daytona!

Whatever your opinions may be on the relocation of the Clash is one thing is for sure, this move has people talking. It’s a long time before the Clash takes place in February. Maybe fans will warm up to the idea by then. For now, NASCAR will continue to make changes that appeal to a larger audience.
