Dana White’s Contender Series is set to return for season 5 at the end of the month.
Season 5 will officially kick off at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Week 1 on Tuesday, August 31. The five-fight event will stream live on ESPN+ beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET.
The main event for the season 5 opener is scheduled to take place in the light heavyweight division with Matheus Buffa (14-6) taking on undefeated Azamat Murakov (7-0).
Other bouts will take place in the flyweight, heavyweight, welterweight, and featherweight divisions.
