Manny Pacquiao vs. Yordenis Ugas went down on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Pacquiao was initially set to face off against Errol Spence Jr. on the night, but a detached retina forced Spence out of the fight earlier this month. Ugas was johnny on the spot and jumped into Spence’s spot hoping to play spoiler.
When it was all said and done, Ugas — who agreed to the bout on just 11 days notice — was able to do just that en route to an impressive unanimous decision victory over the Filipino boxing legend.
All three judges scored the bout for Ugas, 116-112, 115-113, and 116-112.
With the win, Ugas retained his WBA (Super) welterweight title which he has held since January 2021, He previously held the WBA (Regular) title from 2020 until it was elevated to Super champion.
