Kyrie Irving is not happy with Nike.
After photos of the new Kyrie 8 were leaked online, Kyrie Irving ripped the company and called the new sneaker design “trash” while insisting that he had nothing to do with them.
Irving apologized to his fans for the sneaker, saying they were being released regardless of his opinion.
“I have nothing to do with the design or marketing of the upcoming Kyrie 8, IMO these are trash,” Kyrie wrote. “I have absolutely nothing to do with them! Nike plans to release it without my okay regardless of what I say, so I apologize in advance to all of my sneaker heads and true supporters of the #KAI11 brand.”

Ouch.
It’s not often that an athlete comes out and bashes a company that endorses them, but Kyrie did just that. As for the sneaker, he does kind of have a point because it doesn’t stack up to its competitors.
