Tyrrell Hatton, the No. 10-ranked golfer in the world, is having a rough day at Royal St. George’s.
On Friday, Hatton was on the 18th hole in the second round of The Open Championship when his frustration took over. After a brutal miss on his approach shot, Hatton went into an epic meltdown and took his anger out on his club.
Hatton smashed his club against the ground, stomped on it, and eventually snapped the iron in half with his hands. Hey, it happens to the best of us.
The on-camera meltdown was also just one of a handful of incidents on the course during Friday’s round.
As TMZ Sports points out, Hatton was caught dropping an F-bomb on a hot mic earlier in the round. He was also caught on camera flipping the bird to a person near the green.

At the end of the day, we are all human. And if there are any pro athletes that are most similar to the average Joe, it’s definitely professional golfers, so we appreciate the moments like this.
Hatton finished the round at even par and sits at +2 through two rounds.
