Gene Siller, a golf pro in Georgia, was shot and killed in a horrifying incident over the weekend at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw.
A white truck reportedly drove onto the golf course near one of the holes before stalling out. Siller went to investigate the situation when he was shot and killed. Siller was shot in the head before the killer went on the run. To make the incident more chilling, investigators discovered two additional bodies in the trunk of the truck with gunshot wounds.
Paul Pierson, the owner of the pickup truck, and an unidentified man were the other victims.
According to local news outlet WXIA, the killer is still on the run.
Siller was the director of golf at the course, which is located near Kennesaw State University and used by the school’s golf teams. Authorities do not believe the situation is a danger to the public.

Siller is survived by his wife and two young children.
No motive for the attack has been released, but there is belief that Siller was shot because he was witnessing an “active crime” taking place, according to the New York Post.
A GoFundMe page was created for Siller’s family and has raised over $460,000 at the time of this posting.
The fundraiser reads:
