The Brooks Koepka – Bryson DeChambeau rivalry is alive and well.
On Thursday, it was reported by ESPN’s Michael Collins that DeChambeau and his caddie Tim Tucker are going to take some time away from each other ahead of the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit, Michigan.
“They have gone their separate ways for now,” DeChambeau’s agent, Brett Falkoff, said. “That doesn’t mean forever, but it means they are not working together now. They met last night and decided to move on. It’s just an accumulation of things, and it’s never easy when a player and caddie split up. They just decided the best situation for now was essentially to not be together anymore.”
DeChambeau and Tucker previously split in 2017 when Tucker quit, but the two got back together the following year.
Shortly after the news broke, Koepka took to Twitter to gas up his own caddie with a message of support.
“Couldn’t do it without my guy Rick! Best friend and greatest caddie to do it,” Koepka wrote. “Ricky Elliott appreciation day!”

Now, surely this was no coincidence. And it was brilliantly played by Koepka as the rivalry lives on.
