Spain goalkeeper Unai Simon made as embarrassing of an own goal as you will ever see.
In the first half of Spain’s Round of 16 match against Croatia at Euro 2020, Spanish midfielder Pedri passed the ball back to Simon, who whiffed as the ball cruised right into Spain’s net for the own goal.
Petri’s pass did have a bit too much heat, but Simon should have been able to control the ball instead of the epic blunder.
Here is the moment Spain, especially Simon, will want back.

Luckily, Spain was able to even up the score at 1-1 just before halftime.
They will now have to find another goal — hopefully not in their own net — if they want to advance to the tournament quarterfinals.
