I always say “be careful who you mess with,” and Joe Schilling is the latest example of why.
In a video going viral on social media, the professional kickboxer and mixed martial artist was scene brutally knocking out a random dude inside of a bar. According to Schilling, it was all self-defense and a “life-threatening experience.”
Schilling can be seen entering the frame when the man gets in his way. Schilling gently pushes him to the side and walks past, before the man says something that causes Schilling to turn around. The man then makes the awful mistake of squaring up and flexing on Schilling, before eating a violent flurry of punches and immediately crashing to the floor unconscious.

Schilling also appeared to hint that the man may have made some racist comments during the incident.
“Verified Self defense is apparently not what this country is about anymore,” he wrote on Instagram. “Dont trip I got the video love you guys thanks for the concern and support during my life threatening experience. Big shout out to @theyardmuaythai for preparing me for this life threatening situation #f*ckracists”
Schilling hasn’t commented on the incident any further.
During his kickboxing career, Schilling was 23-9 with 13 knockouts. He was 2-0 as a pro boxer. In mixed martial arts, things didn’t go as well for Schilling as he compiled a record of 4-6, but he’s definitely not someone the average Joe should mess with.
