The 2021 College World Series is set with the Mississippi State Bulldogs facing off against the defending national champion Vanderbilt Commodores. It is the third time in the past decade that two SEC teams face off in the championship series.

The series officially begins on Monday, June 28, with all games being aired live on the ESPN family of networks.

Mississippi State edged out Texas to punch their ticket to the championship series, while Vanderbilt earned their bid after the NCAA disqualified North Carolina state from the tournament because of COVID-19 issues.

Regardless of the unusual circumstances for Vanderbilt, they have still put together an impressive season and will be the early favorite.
