Denmark soccer star Christian Eriksen continues to receive good news.
On Friday, Eriksen was released from the hospital in Copenhagen less than one week after collapsing on the field at UEFA Euros and undergoing cardiac arrest.
Eriksen was fitted with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) which sents electric pulses if an irregular heartbeat is detected.
“Thank you for the massive number of greetings – it has been incredible to see and feel,” Eriksen said in a statement from the Denmark FA. “The operation went well, and I am doing well under the circumstances.
“It was really great to see the guys again after the fantastic game they played (Thursday) night. No need to say that I will be cheering on them on Monday against Russia.”

After collapsing last Saturday, Eriksen was administered CPR on the field and was revived with a defibrillator.
We continue to wish Eriksen a full recovery.
